About Eastern University

Eastern University, also referred to as simply EU, is a private university in St. Davids, which is an unincorporated community in Radnor Township, in Delaware County, in the US state of Pennsylvania.

The university was established in 1925 and it is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA. It first started as a department of Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (EBTS), but became a separate institution, in 1952, when it moved to its present St. Davids location, and took the name `Eastern Baptist College`, its current name being adopted in 2001, when it gained university status.

It has 4 major campuses - the main one, in St. Davids, 2 in Philadelphia, and one in Wynnewood - including centers in Ripley, West Virginia and Washington DC, central Pennsylvania.

Athletics

EU's athletic teams are nicknamed the Eagles, and they compete in NCAA DIII, MAC Freedom Conference. Their distinctive colors are maroon and white.
